Location: The Indian Peafowl occurs from eastern Pakistan through India, south from the Himalayas to Sri Lanka.
Habitat:Peacocks stay in open forrests and undergrowth. Fun Facts: A peacock's train accounts for 60% of their body, their train is made up of 100-150 feathers, the average lifespan of a wild peacock is 20 years. Human Impact: Humans impact peacocks because many people poach them for their beautiful feathers. Instead of waiting for the feathers to naturally fall, hunters will go and kill as many as possible to have the feathers at their convenience. |
